For all of us, there’s a first time for everything. When you come to Park City, it may be your first time skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing or even being in the mountains! I have lived in Park City for ten years and out west for 13. My “firsts” are not as frequent as they have been in the past. This winter though, I got to experience something for the first time. I was able to snowshoe, from my house, to my friend’s wedding. She wanted to get married on this outcropping of rocks just beyond the top of the Main St., in Park City. So, five of us met at my house and geared up. It was the first time I had worn a nice dress while snowshoeing too. It all added to the fun! We hiked about 30 minutes up a canyon and then pretty much straight up a hillside to the rocky outcropping. It was a beautiful sight! A slight breeze, which made her hair blow just enough to look perfect, and a little overcast (so the mountain range in the distance really popped!). We had a blast celebrating with our friends that day. I looked around and said to myself “Yes, it’s good to live in Park City!” I hope that when YOU come to Park City, you will be able to experience the beauty and wonder of the mountains! Congratulations Connor and Cassidy!!!
